Netta is in danger of losing her Eurovision title, Adam Sandler crashes a Jewish wedding, and much more in our Daily Spiel!

Universal Music Studios is threatening to sue the composers of Netta Barzilai‘s Eurovision-winning song, ‘Toy’, claiming its distinct similarity to The White Stripes’ ‘Seven Nation Army’. The case could potentially lead to the disqualification of ‘Toy’ in the Eurovision contest, thereby revoking Israel of its win and its hosting rights for the 2019 tournament.

Several earthquakes, including one measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale, jolted the Sea of Galilee in northern Israel on Wednesday morning.

Scarlett Johansson has sparked backlash by signing on to play real-life transgender man Dante “Tex” Gill in the upcoming film Rub & Tug. The film would reunite her with Ghost in the Shell director Rupert Sanders, who had also come under fire for that feature’s alleged whitewashing of Japanese characters.

Rabbi Arthur Waskow, 85, was arrested in Philadelphia recently after protesting outside an Immigration and Customs Enforcement office. Waskow was amongst a group of political activists who call themselves the Elders and Friends standing with Immigrant Children and their Parents.

Actor Adam Sandler recently crashed the Jewish wedding of Montreal couple Kevin Goldstein and Alexandra Steinberg. “We told him we were Jewish and he wished us mazel tov!” Goldstein exclaimed.
