Temple Emanu-el members gather in solidarity at Danforth Islamic Centre

Jews joined Christian and other groups to form 'rings of peace' around GTA-area mosques on Friday, Feb. 3.

Members of Toronto’s Reform Temple Emanu-el gathered in solidarity outside of the Danforth Islamic Centre today, as part of an initiative on Friday, Feb. 3 to show solidarity to the Muslim community by forming protective ‘rings of peace’ around GTA mosques.

The initiative is in response to the Jan. 29 attack on a mosque in Quebec City, which killed six men and wounded 19 others.
