Re: tikkun olam, is Reform Judaism far-sighted or Orthodoxy near-sighted?
Reform Judaism has been called far-sighted, for seeing the problems of greater society but failing to address the issues in Jewry’s own backyard. Orthodox Judaism has been called near-sighted, for focusing on issues of Jewish interest to the exclusion of the larger society.
