A defiant Iran continues to post a nuclear threat

No one can say the warning signs weren’t everywhere.

That is, no one can say the entire international community wasn’t warned repeatedly that Iran was playing games and having its way with the P5+1, led by the United States, in the now twice-extended nuclear talks now scheduled to end this summer.

According to highly informed experts, despite all the international community’s efforts to prevent it, Iran will almost certainly, before long, be a breakout nuclear weapons state.

Sephardi community remembers Hyper Cacher victims

TORONTO — In a religious ceremony to mark the shloshim – the 30th day of mourning – in honour of the four Jewish victims of the Paris terror attack at the kosher supermarket, about 100 people gathered at Sephardic Kehila Centre in Thornhill on Feb. 10 to pay their respects.

Justin Trudeau’s deplorable comments

We live in difficult times. Vicious terrorist groups like ISIS, Al Qaeda and Boko Haram threaten our safety and security. Last year’s tragic Ottawa shootings stunned the entire nation. The senseless murders at the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo’s building, followed by two hostage situations, shocked everyone who truly believes in democracy, liberty and freedom.

Anxiety in our time

We don’t know what we have until it is eaten away at. How could we?

Is it possible for a child who grew up in a peaceful, rational society to understand and recognize how other nations operate? Could I, as a child of the ’60s and ’70s, feel the oppression of such states as Libya or Congo, where its citizens are persecuted and made to feel fear by selfish dictators and self-centred autocrats? I have never double-locked my doors or looked over my shoulder in fear of uniformed men.

Time to expose hypocrisy of campus anti-Zionists

Part of the reason why most of my pro-Israel advocacy, on campus and off, focuses on building a positive, proactive Zionist vision is because much pro-Israel advocacy is depressing. The arguments go round and round. The hatred against Israel is irrational, disproportionate and often vicious.
