What: The Gala of the Century—Sinai Health Foundation

Where: Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts, Toronto

When: Sept. 12, 2024

Who: More than 1,800 community members including: members of Sinai Health’s committed donor community; The Honourable Doug Ford, Premier of Ontario; Her Worship Olivia Chow, Mayor of Toronto; and 300+ health care workers. The show was hosted by Martin Short, featured a performance by Michael Bublé, and included the premiere of an exclusive documentary created by acclaimed documentary filmmaker Barry Avrich.

Why: Coming together to mark one hundred years of Mount Sinai Hospital’s impact in the Toronto community and beyond. The event raised $12.5 million to support the highest priority needs across Sinai Health. The gala honoured the amazing work and discoveries that have come out of the hospital over the last 100 years, the power of philanthropy to support this work, and the rich history rooted in the determination and generosity of its Jewish founders.
