Welcome to The CJN’s first-ever audio drama, Justice: A Holocaust Zombie Story, produced in association with the Ashkenaz Festival and Dandelion Theatre.
In the first episode, we meet Kat, a young Canadian woman undergoing a quarter-life crisis after discovering her late father was Jewish—and her mother never told her. She flies to Berlin to meet her estranged family, including her uncle, Avrum, a visiting professor in the chemistry department at Humboldt University; her boisterous aunt, Chava; and her twin cousins, Tema, a nerdy pre-med student with progressive ideals, and Jacob, who’s falling into the alt-right rabbit hole.
While there, we hear word of vandalism at the nearby Sachsenhausen concentration camp museum and memorial site, an hour north of Berlin. The media is reporting that grave robbers are digging up the bodies of Holocaust victims. So Jacob decides to do something about it: he wants to catch them on video.
