Canada: Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Centre for Holocaust Studies (FSWC) issued a statement yesterday urging Jewish high school students to reconsider before applying to York University, claiming it endorses “a campaign of censorship against Israel and the Jewish People.” CEO Avi Benlolo said that a motion supporting a boycott of weapons companies is anti-Semitic because the campaign is led by Students Against Israeli Apartheid (SAIA).
The atmosphere at York University in Toronto is growing more intimidating for Jewish and pro-Israel students every year. The mural advocating violence against Israel, hanging for three years in the Student Centre, is a symbol of the increasing hatred and hostility that students must navigate in their quest for a post-secondary education. Culture: The largest Christian pro-Israel organization in the U.S. is launching a weekly news show highlighting the threat of terror Israel faces daily, a new Israeli radio station will focus exclusively on the country’s veteran artists, French-Israeli musician Yael Naim has won the award for Best Singer at the French version of the Grammys, and the Israeli designer behind Beyonce’s wedding gown dress at the actual Grammys has opened up about the “amazing moment” of seeing her favourite artist don the outfit.

Susie Essman, who recently starred on Broad City as Ilana’s mom, is making a cameo on TruTV’s Those Who Can’t, while Broad City returned to the air last night with the launch of its third season.
