The CJN Remembers: Michael Harvey Appleton, Q.C. (1940-2022)

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Michael Harvey Appleton, Q.C. (“Mickey”).  

Son of the late Benjamin and Jean Appleton,  Michael was the beloved father of Risa, Dina (John) and Brent and the delightful “Papa Michael” to his cherished grandchildren Connor, Lexie and Jake. Brother of the late Dr. Sherwood Appleton, Husband of the late Patricia Lynn Appleton, and of Marilyn. 

Upon graduating Osgoode Hall Law School in 1964, Michael had a successful law career at Fogler Rubinoff for 56 years, 33 of them as managing partner.   

Michael will be remembered as being a funny, kind and wise mensch and will be greatly missed by his family and those who knew him.
