Eager For Trial

REGINA — A Regina man charged with promoting hatred against Jews on the web told CBC last week he wants to air his views in court. Terry Tremaine, 59, a former math instructor at the University of Saskatchewan, was charged last month after a complaint from Canadian Jewish Congress and Ottawa lawyer Richard Warman. Tremaine was also fined last year by a human rights tribunal after a complaint by Warman. In a Jan. 28 interview, Tremaine said he wants all Jews to leave Canada, calling them “a destructive force.”
