The Band’s Visit, the Broadway adaptation of the critically acclaimed Israeli film, has won 10 Tony Awards, including best musical. Other winners included Tony Kushner’s Angels in America for best revival of a play and Andrew Garfield for best performance by an actor in a leading role.

Hillel Neuer, the director of the Geneva-based UN Watch for the past 14 years, says the UN is undermining the right of the Jewish people to a homeland in Israel – which that body affirmed in 1947 – by continuously singling out the Jewish state for condemnation.

Ivy Schamis, a Parkland teacher whose classroom was targeted by the shooter at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, has been named Teacher of the Year by the Anne Frank Centre.
