Aid Fund Established

TORONTO — UJA Federation of Greater Toronto has set up a Philippines disaster relief fund in the wake of typhoon Ketsana, which hit the Asian country on Sept. 26. Funds raised will allow for a four-member IsraAid team to head to the Philippines, where they’ll distribute items such as food and clothing as well as medical treatment. IsraAid is a coalition of Israeli and Jewish NGOs that offer relief, rehabilitation and aid to communities in need. To donate, visit jewishtoronto.com.
