A Jewish LGBTQ response to Orlando. An active member of Toronto’s Jewish community, Tomer Chervinsky has penned a response to a recent CJN op-ed that “lumps all non-believers together,” rather than admitting that the terrorism at Pulse nightclub was directed toward the LGBTQ community. “As Jews, more than most, we must understand the difference and be supportive allies – reaching out to friends and relatives who are still grieving Saturday’s callous murders,” he writes.

Don’t you hate (Hermann Goering’s) pants? A Munich auction house is the subject of much controversy after announcing its plans to auction off a slew of Nazi memorabilia, including Hermann Goering’s underpants, Adolf Hitler’s socks, and Eva Braun’s dresses. The mayor of Munich himself has asked that the house cancel the auction, fearing that it will be glorified by neo-Nazis, but no such luck.

A polarizing topic, that BDS. Following New York governor Andrew Cuomo’s executive order prohibiting state investments in any company that supports boycotting Israel, a group of 100 people or so gathered outside his office to protest, organized (of course) by Jewish Voice for Peace, a left-wing pro-BDS group. Some 5,893 kilometres away, the Dutch parliament passed a non-binding motion calling on the government to deny funding to organizations that call for a boycott against Israel. While indeed it is a polarizing topic, that BDS, it’s nice to see those in a position of power acknowledging that it is one-sided, biased, and only seeks to delegitimize the State of Israel.

Benjamin Netanyahu

little bit off the top. He’s got a decent head of hair that Benjamin Netanyahu, but is that haircut worth $1,600? No. Definitely not. New reports indicate that Bibi’s trip to New York last fall for the UN General Assembly cost more than $1.7 million (US), which included a $1,600 (!!!!!) haircut. The Israeli Consulate in New York and the Israeli mission to the United Nations reportedly handled the bill. Bibi, next time you’re in Toronto I got an Italian guy who will do a shave and a cut for $55 Cdn plus tip.

They could name their first-born Ahmadinejad. I believe we’re already aware that Roger Waters lacks a moral compass, but in case you were unsure, here’s more proof: the anti-Israel activist reportedly had an affair with his good friend’s wife (now ex-wife). The woman is none other than a fellow Palestinian activist and misguided Israel hater Rula Jebreal. After her divorce, her and Roger have continued to see each other, and are even known by some as a ‘Palestinian power couple.’ I could already envision their conversations. RW: “There was an attack in Tel Aviv today.” RJ: “I know.” RW: “Damn occupation, if it weren’t for those cowardly Zionists, those poor Palestinians wouldn’t be forced to kill them.” Or something like that. I’m not good at writing comedy.

And you thought the Hitler comparisons were getting old. It seems like no one has compared Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler for at least a couple weeks now, so naturally Stephen Colbert decided to do something about it, in a subtle and witty way only he knows. In the sketch, Colbert mocks Donald Trump’s controversial response to the Orlando shooting. Watch:
