In Ontario, we derive our strength and vitality from the cultural and spiritual diversity that makes up our great province. It is our wealth of culture which gives us our character and our heart — and enriches our communities. Jewish Canadians are a dynamic and valued part of Ontario society and contribute greatly to the social, cultural and economic life of our province.
This important day on the Jewish calendar — the Day of Atonement — is a time of fasting, reflection and prayer. As you gather with family and friends, may this solemn occasion deepen your spiritual commitments and strengthen ties within your community.
