Toronto theatrical producer-director Stéphanie Ouaknine directs the Governor-General Award-winning play The List, by Jennifer Tremblay, in English through Feb. 15 at the La Chapelle theatre, 3700 rue St-Dominique. Ouaknine, the daughter of well known community figure Léon Ouaknine, is involved in both French- and English-language productions and has won praise for how she has integrated projection into this production. The Montreal premiere of writer and director Reshef Levi’s 2013 box office hit, the Israeli crime comedy Hunting Elephants (Latzud Pilim), is on at 8 p.m. at the Dollar Cinema in Decarie Square as the last screening of the Jewish Public Library’s Israeli Film Festival 2014.
