Shaare Zion Congregation marks its 85th birthday Oct. 27, 28 and Oct. 31 in an original and unique way: with the father-daughter team of Eddie Davis and Wendy Rapps the driving force behind a two-act, 90-minute musical comedy called So You Think You Can Daven, a spoof on selecting a cantor for the shul. Coincidentally, the show was conceived of prior to the departure of cantor Boaz Davidoff. The show will feature Broadway and pop hits with lyrics by Rapps and script by dad Davis.
