A Jewish National Fund grant allowed Herzliah High School Grade 8 students to recently celebrate Yom Yerushalayim at a special program at the Bronfman Jewish Education Centre that included a direct satellite interactive live feed with Jerusalem and local students movingly witnessing their personalized prayers being inserted into the Western Wall.

Erika Routhier, a student at the Polyvalente Saint-François high school in Beaucevville, and Michaela Shulman of Solomon Schechter Academy were the recent Quebec winners of B’nai Brith League for Human Rights Student Human Rights Awards honouring submissions making a statement on human rights.
Segal Centre artistic director Bryna Wasserman was recently named “outstanding citizen” of the Côte-des-Neiges-Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough in the “sports and culture” category. She was recognized for her contribution to the cultural sector and dedication to the community.
