In Ontario, we derive our strength and vitality from the cultural and spiritual diversity that makes up our great province. It is our wealth of culture that gives us our character and our heart – and strengthens our communities. Jewish Canadians are a dynamic and valued part of Ontario society and contribute greatly to the social, cultural and economic life of our province.
As you come together in celebration with family and friends on this joyous occasion – marking the start of the Jewish New Year – it is an ideal opportunity to reflect on the year that has passed and to look, with hope and optimism, to the year ahead. To all those observing Rosh Hashanah, Shanah Tovah! Please accept my best wishes for a wonderful new year filled with much health and happiness.
