Your Daily Spiel is The CJN’s daily roundup of trending stories in the Jewish world.

Jewish media and the left, right, left: Michael Taube counters the argument that Jewish media are shifting to the political right, saying it’s only the “radical left” who feel that way.

Harbord turns 125: Harbord Collegiate, nostalgically known by some alum as a hub for children of immigrants – including, through the ’40s and ’50s, many Jews – is celebrating its 125th anniversary with a host of events this weekend.

Interfaith film event: Canadian filmmakers Zarqa Nawaz, who is Muslim, and Francine Zukerman, who is Jewish, will share a stage this Sunday at Toronto’s Noor Cultural Centre for a program called “Trailblazers and Troublemakers.”

Interim National Front president a Holocaust denier? The interim successor to French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen, who took her place as head of the party while she campaigns for president, reportedly claimed back in 2000 that the poison used by Nazis to kill Jews in the Holocaust could not possibly have been used.

Torah smuggled for a cause:  About 300 women joined the group Women of the Wall for its monthly Rosh Chodesh service at the Western Wall, which included a Torah scroll smuggled in to the women’s section.

Neo-nazis still hate Jews. But also, now, Trump? The alt-right and neo-Nazi crowd expressed displeasure at U.S. President Donald Trump’s Holocaust remembrance speech in the Capitol earlier this week. Benjamin Garland of the neo-Nazi website the Daily Stormer bemoaned that Jews have gotten their “ratlike claws deep in him [him being Trump] now.”
