Bonjour Chai is going weekly! Every other week, we’ll be featuring shorter, more intimate episodes with fascinating Canadian Jews. Today, Ilana sits down with Aviva Armour-Ostroff, a director, actor and writer whose work has spanned decades in the Canadian theatre and film scene. Her latest movie, Lune, is receiving its Canadian premiere at the Toronto Jewish Film Festival, where it became the first Canadian film to win the festival’s prestigious Micki Moore Award for best narrative feature by a female director. Watch the trailer or buy tickets at TJFF.com.

Bonjour Chai is hosted by Avi Finegold, Melissa Lantsman and Ilana Zackon. Michael Fraiman is the producer. Andrew Goulet is the technical producer. Our theme music is by Socalled. The show is a co-production from The Jewish Learning Lab and The CJN, and is distributed by The CJN Podcast Network.
