Self-proclaimed “original Texas Jewboy” Kinky Friedman is coming to town. The colourful, irreverent singer-author whose list of classic songs includes They Ain’t Making Jews Like Jesus Anymore – serves up A Night of Raucous Humour and Biting Satirical Songs and Stories as a fund-raising evening for the Koffler Centre of the Arts.

New TVO Online Archive: TVO has launched a web-based public archive, a free resource that unlocks four decades of made-at-TVO educational programming. Archived items include conversations with film legends by the avuncular Elwy Yost, host of the popular Saturday Night at the Movies; and rare moments with great minds in science, politics and the arts – including Mordecai Richler, Leonard Cohen, Margaret Atwood, Margaret Laurence and John Candy. • More than 100 abstract expressionist masterpieces from New York’s Museum of Modern Art will be exhibited at the Art Gallery of Ontario from May 28 to Sept. 4.
