Canada: The provincial government rolled out legislation that will allow low-income Ontario students to get free post-secondary education, the federal government reversed a bill introduced by the former Conservative government (which will allow these convicted terrorists to maintain their Canadian citizenship), anti-Israel activist Max Blumenthal was met with jeers at an event in Toronto last night, and a former Toronto Jewish day school teacher is facing new sexual assault charges.

U.S.: Republican candidates (save for Donald Trump) united in attacking the presidential hopeful at a debate last night (specifically Marco Rubio who blasted Trump’s “honest broker” remarks regarding the Israel-Palestinian conflict), activists at a Philadelphia community meeting yelled at Jewish real estate developers to “go back to Israel,” a man accused of distributing anti-Semitic propaganda injured two NYPD officers who came to search his home, Florida is the latest state to pass an anti-BDS bill, and a group of international authors are teaming up to write a book on Israeli “occupation.”

Israel: Benjamin Netanyahu called out U.K. PM David Cameron for criticizing settlements in East Jerusalem, a Palestinian assailant was shot dead as he attempted to stab Israeli soldiers at a West Bank checkpoint, Israel has agreed to release a Palestinian journalist who’s been on a hunger strike for 94 days, Hamas briefly detained a Reuters reporter as he took photographs in Gaza, and Israel is readying to transfer NIS 500 million ($172 million Cdn) in withheld tax money to the Palestinian Authority.

Tens of thousands of Israelis took part in an annual Tel Aviv marathon today, during his visit to Israel, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said that the country will undoubtedly “change the world,” and the IDF has unveiled its unique underwater bell chamber, which allows military deep-sea divers to carry out missions at depths of up to 100 metres.

World: A Palestinian terrorist who’s been living in Bulgaria to avoid extradition was found dead today, Iran’s first elections since the international community lifted sanctions has been extended after an inordinately high turnout, and FIFA has elected its new president, Gianni Infantino of Switzerland, who won a second-round vote.
