Maccabi Canada is looking for one good man to round out the men’s masters squash team.
They are seeking a credible player in the 50-55 age category (or even someone 45-50) who is willing to spend two weeks in Israel this summer competing with Jewish players from around the world.
The team currently consists of Paul Lechtzier and Ed Rosenblat, but for the Canadian masters to record a team score, a third player is required.
The masters division in the Maccabiah Games consists of athletes 35 and older who pay their own way to Israel ($7,500) for the chance to compete in the quadrennial games. This year’s Maccabiah Games, the 18th, run from July 12 to 23. Canada will send its largest team ever – 450 athletes.
For more information, contact squash coach Patrick Hartunian at 647-229-0901 or Sharon Lohr Petersil, national office director for Maccabi Canada, at 416-398-0515.
