Twins Dr. Rosalind Silverman and Dr. Lorelei Silverman were among the top 25 recipients of the Canadian Immigrant Awards sponsored by Royal Bank. The award recognizes the contributinos of immigrants to their new country. Royal Bank, the official sponsor of the award recognized the contribution of the winners to their communities by making a donation to their favorite charity. The Silverman sisters chose to give their donation to the Beth Tzedec Musical Fund for which Lorelei and Rosalind make décor and costumes. Under the leadership of cantor Simon Spiro and his wife Aliza Spiro, the Music Funds brings to the Toronto Jewish community a number of musical throughout the year.
