Hillary Clinton condemns Israeli flag burning at DNC

“Hillary Clinton has always stood against efforts to marginalize Israel and incitement, and she strongly condemns this kind of hatred”

PHILADELPHIA — Hillary Clinton’s campaign condemned the burning of an Israeli flag at the Democratic National Convention.

“Hillary Clinton has always stood against efforts to marginalize Israel and incitement, and she strongly condemns this kind of hatred,” Sarah Bard, the campaign’s director of Jewish outreach, said in an email Wednesday. “Burning the Israeli flag is a reckless act that undermines peace and our values.”

An Israeli flag was set alight Tuesday as protesters chanted “Long live the intifadah” outside the Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia housing the convention.
