Proving once again that when one dares to be different, good
things can happen, Israeli Consul General to Toronto and Western Canada, Amir
Gissin, discovers the joy of fishing for the first time. He regales more than
200,000 viewers of Italo Labignan’s great Canadian Sport Fishing series on TSN
about the shared cultural link between Israel and Canada, hockey in Israel’s
north and the Israeli national ice hockey team.

Taped in 2008 on the Bay of Quinte in Belleville, Ontario, Gissin partakes in a
Canadian pastime and talks up the Holy Land while shipmates Italo and Yehuda
Alcaslasy enjoy the art of fishing.

Subsequent to the taping of these shows in 2008, Italo took
his show on the road and visited Israel. Those episodes began airing earlier
this year. For more information, visit: www.canadian-sportfishing.com
