Hate Denounced

OTTAWA — A prominent Muslim group came out against “anti-Semitic language” heard at rallies to protest Israel’s actions in Gaza. In a statement earlier this month, the Canadian Council on American-Islamic Relations said that while it respects the right to free speech, it “categorically condemned the anti-Semitic language used by protesters at recent rallies against Israel’s ongoing assault against Gaza.”

Educating Christians

TORONTO — The Friends of the Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies (FSWC) last week teamed with International Christian Embassy Jerusalem – Canada, an evangelical group, to hold a workshop for young Christian adults on “contemporary Holocaust issues” and “the history of Israel.” The seminar took place Jan. 21 in Toronto.
