NDP Motion Praised

WINNIPEG — B’nai Brith last week praised Manitoba’s NDP government for marking the week of Yom Hashoah by backing a resolution in the legislature that condemns “without reservation” any Holocaust denial. “We look to other provinces to follow Manitoba’s example and to engage constructively in educational programs that teach about the Holocaust and the importance of combating racism,” said B’nai Brith spokesperson Frank Diamant. The motion passed unanimously.
